-- PARDON OUR DUST WHILE THE WIKI IS REDEPLOYED --
What is this all about?
The purpose of this wiki is to provide adequate documentation surrounding Halo Infinite's Forge mode and the scripting system that comes with it. Scripting, especially for newcomers, can be an insurmountable obstacle without proper reference material. Our goal is to provide knowledge and information to help you navigate some of the obstacles that may come your way. Keep in mind, this is an entirely volunteer effort and all information here is provided and maintained by community members going out of their way to collect, organize, and format it appropriately.
I'm new to Forge/scripting...where do I start?
While there aren't any quick-start guides to Forge on the wiki (yet), the 🔰 Getting Started page is a great place to go to get enough of a foundation with scripting in Halo Infinite that, after reading The Basics and the linked articles, you should be able to formulate ideas and questions with more confidence, as well as bridge your own knowledge gaps with trial and error.
🔰pageGetting StartedI can't find the information I need here on the wiki.
The wiki is an ever-evolving work in progress largely managed by just a handful of people. The source of nearly all of the information on the wiki is The Scripter's Guild Discord server, where the information is collected and discussed.
If you've looked around the wiki and still have questions, hop to the discord and put a question in the [#🤷 | Scripting Questions] forum. Your question and the answer to it may end up being the source of an article, as many others have been.
How do I contribute?
You can just interact with this like any other repo, or you can get in on the conversation with the people working on this project in a dedicated fashion via our Discord server. Just have scraps of info to share, like a weird interaction between two objects or systems, and don't think it's enough to create a post in the Wiki Discussion on the Discord or to do a whole pull request on GitHub? Use the Infodump Form (https://dyno.gg/form/6ecec55c) and it will get added to the pile of other scraps of info that are used as reference when writing wiki articles. Not sure how to handle your pull request (but already know how to submit one)? See this page here on the wiki for more info:
